Legend Studios is a small independent publisher based in West Virginia, USA. We build and operate Diamond Legend, a deep single-player baseball franchise simulator, and publish the design notes, engine deep dives, and release logs you'll find on this site.

Who we are

The studio is founded and led by Terry Pugh, a lifelong baseball fan and product builder. Our small team works with a rotating group of collaborators — designers, engineers, and beta testers drawn from the baseball-sim community.

We are an independent operation. We do not sell player data, we don't run tracking pixels across other sites, and we don't take publisher money to influence coverage on our blog.

What we publish

The Developer Journal — long-form design notes, engine deep-dives, and behind-the-scenes on what we're building each week.
The Public Changelog — every shipped release, with the specific features and fixes in each.
How to Play — our onboarding guide for new players, updated with each major version.

Editorial standards

Original writing. Every blog post is written by the Legend Studios team. We do not publish AI-generated filler, syndicated content, or pay-for-play articles.
Transparent about the product. When a post describes a game system, that system is either shipped or explicitly labeled "in development." No hype about features that don't exist.
Corrections in the open. If we get something wrong in a post or a release note, we correct it in place and note the correction at the bottom of the article.
Ads only on public pages. Advertising runs on this marketing site — never inside the game itself. See our Privacy Notice for details.
