About Diamond Legend
Diamond Legend is a deep single-player baseball franchise simulator. You inherit a struggling club, build a three-tier farm system, hire coaches, navigate trades and free agency, manage injuries, and chase the championship across 25 in-game seasons of dynasty play.
The pitch
Most franchise games treat depth as an afterthought. You draft, but prospects are anonymous. You call up a AAA arm and nothing happens below him. Injuries are paperwork. Trades move names, not futures.
We built Diamond Legend the other way. Every one of the 132 players in your org has a name, a scouting grade, and a hole he leaves behind when he moves. The cascade engine keeps every level legal. Trades are cap-validated. Injuries have severity tiers and IL rules. The offseason has real consequences.
Design principles
- Slow sim by default. One game per real day is the intended beat. Fast-sim exists for weekends.
- Depth over spectacle. Four affiliate rosters, a live free-agent pool, permanent transaction history.
- No cheating AI. AI franchises follow the same roster and cap rules you do.
- Never lose progress. Local + cloud saves, with cloud-wins-on-load conflict handling.
- Ship small, ship often. Weekly releases during beta, tracked in the changelog.
Who's behind it
Diamond Legend is built by Terry Pugh and a small team of collaborators. We're a lifelong baseball family in West Virginia who couldn't find the franchise sim we wanted, so we started building it.
The project is fully independent and player-supported. Pro subscriptions keep the lights on and let us ship weekly.
