Four affiliate clubs
Every franchise operates four affiliate clubs, each with its own roster, identity, and role in your organization:
- MLB (26 active roster) — the show. Everyone here counts against your payroll and roster limit.
- AAA (30) — the on-ramp. Where your polished prospects and depth arms live.
- AA (36) — the middle. Fast-moving prospects, breakout candidates, and second-chance vets.
- A (40) — the deep bench. Raw talent, recent draftees, project pitchers.
Prospect development
Prospects gain (and sometimes lose) ratings over time based on age, level, playing time, and coaching quality. Push a 19-year-old to AAA and their development can stall. Let them mature at A and A+, and you'll see real gains before promotion.
Daily minor-league simulation
Every affiliate plays a real schedule. The daily Farm Report shows who's breaking out, who's slumping, and who's ready for a promotion — so you're never guessing when to call someone up.
Promotions & option rules
Promoting a prospect to the majors is a real front-office decision. You'll weigh their readiness, your MLB roster space, and their remaining options. When a call-up replaces an injured starter, sending them back down when the veteran returns happens automatically.
